Tomorrow, 31st August, is the tenth birthday of
Jay (Ch Leogem Renaissance) and he is still as active as ever and was recently heart dopplered Green. The photo top left was when he was around three months and below left was when he was about twenty months. Top right is of him now as an oldie and below right is with his litter sister Leogem Aliona when they were eighteen months.
He gained eleven CCs and eight Reserve CCs and spent over two years in America in the loving care of Paula Lynn Ayers where he gained his CKCS-USA Champion title plus his AKC champion title and then became a Grand Champion.
His mother is our Ch Leogem Rhapsody and his sire is Ch Brookhaven Believe It Or Not. The weekend he was due to be born I was judging in Germany, so Tina had to stay home and not accompany me. While out there I phoned Tina quite a few times to see if the puppies were born. They were in fact born the day after I returned home.
We kept two puppies from the litter and named them Jay and Aliona after the two winning contestants from that year on Strictly Come Dancing. Jay won his first CC from Lorraine Hughes at the Cavalier Club's 2017 Championship Show where he also went Best in Show. His sister Aliona is the mother of Ch Leogem Winter Melody and Ch Leogem Campanula.
